SCHOOLBOY Q DROPS NEW ALBUM (BLUE LIPS)

The anticipation has finally come to an end. Schoolboy Q’s eagerly awaited sixth studio album, “Blue Lips,” is here at last.

The journey to this release began in the summer of 2023, when Q hinted at his latest project, his first since the release of “Crash Talk” in 2019. The initial tease came through a reshared clip from the Back on Figg podcast, where the host disclosed their involvement in the creation of the rapper’s much-anticipated album, hinting that its release was imminent.

“The mixing process for Schoolboy Q’s album is underway,” the hosts shared. “It’s coming very, very soon. The album is sounding incredible. We’re excited to finally share this news with you. This is a major moment for us. We’ve been hitting the studio with my brother every week.”

Q amplified the excitement by posting this clip on his social media platforms, captioning it with a supportive, “My guys✊🏾✊🏾.” Given Q’s history of teasing album releases in 2020, 2022, and again in 2023 without follow-through, fans were understandably cautious about getting their hopes up. When directly questioned by a user about the legitimacy of his album tease, wondering if he was just leading them on, Q firmly responded, “I’m actually not.”
