Lil Yachty officially launches Concrete Rekordz joint venture with Quality Control Music/Hybe

Lil Yachty has ventured into a new realm with his latest project, Concrete Rekordz. The rapper, known for his candid views on hip-hop’s state, is introducing fresh talent to the genre, including Karrahbooo, DC2TRILL, Draft Day, and Camo!. These artists will feature on Concrete Rekordz’s compilation album, “It’s Us Volume 1,” set to drop on April 5. Yachty unveiled these talents during his Field Trip Tour last year, which is extending into its European leg this spring.

Concrete Rekordz, also dubbed Concrete Boys, released a new track titled “Family Business” alongside this announcement. Quality Control Music’s COO, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, expressed excitement about Yachty’s vision and talent curation, while QC’s CEO, Pierre “P” Thomas, hailed Yachty’s executive role and the emerging artists’ potential to bring a fresh perspective to the music scene. Karrahbooo, in particular, is highlighted as a standout talent poised to shake up the culture with a new wave of creativity.
