DID KANYE CREATE NEW GENRES?
The man, the myth, the legend Kanye West says he invented every style of music in the last 20 years.

How do we feel about this statement Rap Geekz?
“I pioneered The Weeknd’s genre, as well as Travis, Drake, and everyone else. With all due respect, Future and Thug too, with the auto-tune album, ‘808s.’ While people often credit Travis, Weeknd, and Drake, Future and Thug also played a significant role in the auto-tune movement. Now, everyone has added their own twist to it. I’m introducing a new genre – the ‘make your own money’ genre. This music is about cutting out the middleman,” Kanye West explained to Big Boy.
Kanye West maintains a positive relationship with the artists he mentioned, except for Drake, with whom he has had a rocky friendship. Recently, he criticized Drake for bringing Lil Durk on tour at the kickoff of the “Vultures” release. Drake may address Kanye’s comments during his tour. Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Young Thug, and Future have not responded to Kanye’s remarks, but given their admiration for the producer, they likely hold no hard feelings about his observations on the similarities in their music.
